Understanding M22 Fittings
When purchasing M22 fittings, keep in mind that the black portion is the Coupler, while the exposed brass threads are the Plug (see item 24.0024 for reference). The plug threads into the black coupler.

Terminology Note
M22 fittings may be labeled differently by different suppliers. Typically, the black twist coupler is called M22F, while the threaded plugs are referred to as M22M, followed by the size of the secondary end, such as NPT or other M22 variants.
